Member of the Council of the National Institute of Justice, Ion Covalciuc, Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of the mun. Balti, together with other representatives of the legal system of the Republic of Moldova, recently participated in an exchange program in the United States of America.
The National Institute of Justice and the Council of Mediation, with the support of USAID Moldova, organized a roundtable today, October 25, 2024, entitled "Improving mechanisms for confirming and enforcing transactions in which parties agreed on amicable dispute resolution."
On October 22-23, 2024, the National Institute of Justice hosted the seminar "The role of the national judge in the application of EU law", organized in partnership with the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA). The event aimed at strengthening the professional skills of magistrates in the national legal system to meet the emerging responsibilities in the context of relations between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova.
In the framework of the national campaign "The week of fight against trafficking in human beings", the Ad interim Director of the National Institute of Justice, Adrian Cerbu, and the NIJ trainer, Viorel Ciobanu, prosecutor in the Section for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings of the General Prosecutor's Office, participated in an information lesson for the pupils of the 8th - 10th grades of the "Orizont" Theoretical High School.
