On Thursday, March 1, the Rector of the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, Sergey V. Arakelyan, has held a public lecture at the National Institute of Justice, during which he has spoken about the armenian justice system, but also about the activity of the institution he manages.
In the period February 27 to March 3, 2018, the representatives of the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Armenia undertook a working visit to Chisinau. The delegation was formed by Sergey Arakelyan, the rector of the Academy of Justice, Robert Shahinyan and Artashes Khurshudyan.
On February 9, 2018, the second seminar in the field of justice, entitled “International Court of Justice and Permanent Court of Arbitration”, took place within the premises of the Supreme Court of Justice. The seminar was held in English for over 30 young judges from the Republic of Moldova, members of the resource group of NIJ future trainers.
The trainers of the National Institute of Justice have participated, on 6 and 7 February, to the Training of Trainers course dedicated to the European Programme for Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP Programme). The event was also attended by lawyers, representatives of the Office of the People’s Advocate and of the Council for Preventing and Eliminating Discrimination and Ensuring Equality, representatives of the academia and of the NGOs.
On 6 February, the National Institute of Justice has organized, in cooperation with the European Programme for Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP Programme), the certification event of the distance-learning course “Prohibition of ill-treatment”.
