The graduation ceremony of a new promotion of future judges and prosecutors took place today, April 16, 2019, at the National Institute of Justice. After 18 months of study, the 25 candidates to the position of judge and 19 candidates to the position of prosecutor in black and blue cloaks received the graduation certificates of the National Institute of Justice.
At the same time, the event served as a celebration of a decade since the graduation of the first promotion of candidates to the position of judge and prosecutor, who studied at the National Institute of Justice between September 2007 and March 2009.
"I consider you one of the luckiest promotions because you have benefited from all the transformations that have taken place at the NIJ. You were the first to start your studies after a totally reformed curriculum focusing on practice, developing the skills and abilities needed in your professional work. Practical training is an essential component of legal studies, especially in the profession of judge and prosecutor, and the inadequate fulfillment of this component represents an important deficiency for the level of training in the respective professions", mentioned Diana Scobioala, the NIJ Director.
The graduation diploma award ceremony was attended as well as special guests - representatives of the first graduates of NIJ.
The ceremony culminated with handing over graduation certificates to future judges and prosecutors, and the best ones were rewarded with merit diplomas. As a result, diplomas with the leadership of the XIth promotion: for the best results obtained during the initial training at NIJ, Andrei Cazacicov, a candidate to the position of judge, and Octavian Bivol, candidate to the position of prosecutor; diplomas of merit with particular mention of organizational spirit in the activity of the group chief - Marta Bizgan, candidate to the position of prosecutor, and Inga Darii, candidate to the position of judge; diplomas of merit, in recognition of the outstanding performances obtained during the initial training - Verginia Baltag and Natalia Russu, candidates to the position of judge, Dmitrii Achimenco and Tudor Jalba, candidates to the position of prosecutor.
Also, the best representatives of the first promotion, currently judges and prosecutors, received merit diplomas on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of their graduation at the NIJ: prosecutors - Dumitru Purici, Vladimir Severin, Victoria Lanovenco, judges - Alexandru Spoiala , Vasilisa Muntean, Victoria Sirbu, Adrian Cerbu.
It should be noted that since its establishment until now, the National Institute of Justice has offered to the justice system eleven graduate promotions, which included 162 candidates to the position of judge and 241 - to the position of prosecutor.
