The National Institute of Justice of the Republic of Moldova, in collaboration with the School of Fine Arts for Children "Alexei Sciusev" in Chisinau, announces the second edition of the Republican Fine Arts Contest entitled "Children's Rights" for students in general schools, high schools, gymnasiums, art schools and art studios.
The competition is open to students aged between 11 and 17, with works that reflect the protection of children's rights, equality in rights, general principles of children's rights, etc. The creations can be made in various techniques, such as oil, watercolor, gouache, ink, pencil, pastel, mixed media, batik, collage, tapestry or in volumetric compositions - ceramics, sculpture, mache paper, wire, thread, etc.
The competition will take place in two stages. The online reception of the images of the works will take place between March 1 and April 15, 2021, after which the selected works will be sent in original to the organizers.
The evaluation of the works and the mention of the winning places will be determined by a jury that will include members of the Union of Fine Artists of the Republic of Moldova, teachers and representatives of the organizing institutions. The judging will take place between May 20-21, 2021 within the School of Fine Arts „A. Șciusev”, and the festivity of announcing the winners and the awarding of prizes - on May 31, 2021, at the National Institute of Justice.

The action is part of the activities carried out based on the Collaboration Agreement signed by the National Institute of Justice and the School of Fine Arts for Children "Alexei Sciusev". Thus, within the established partnership, the Republican Fine Arts Competition "Justice - I see you like this" was organized, the first edition, the children's paintings being exposed at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of ratification by the Republic of Moldova of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
