The establishment of long-term trilateral relations and the improvement of the judicial training process, especially in the electoral segment, is the aim of a new Collaboration Agreement signed today, October 12, 2021, by the Director of the National Institute of Justice, Diana Scobioala, the President of the Central Electoral Commission, Angelica Caraman, and the Director of the Continuous Electoral Training Center, Doina Bordeianu.
The need to sign the Agreement comes from the prerogative of building a society based on democratic principles, promoting fundamental human rights and freedoms and forming social consciousness in the spirit of these values, with the main objectives of ensuring qualitative specialized judicial training and uniform application of electoral legislation.
The inter-institutional cooperation will be achieved by conducting training activities in the electoral field; exchanges of information and experience, including through consultations, on business segments of common interest; conducting joint research and publications on current issues in the electoral field; elaboration of guidelines on electoral litigation and newsletters containing cases from judicial practice, etc.
