Aspects related to the functioning of the National Institute of Justice were discussed during the visit to the National Institute of Justice of representatives of the Center for International Legal Cooperation (CILC) – Willem van Nieuwkerk, Director, and Fleur van Lit, project manager, today, March 2, 2023. The officials met with Ecaterina Popa, NIJ ad interim director in order to identify potential collaboration tangents aimed at strengthening the capacities of the representatives of the justice system.
On this occasion, Ecaterina Popa informed the delegation about the duties and priorities of the National Institute of Justice, on the three dimensions: initial training, continuous training and training of trainers. The discussions were also focused on the topic regarding the established partnerships between the National Institute of Justice and other regional and European magistracy schools that are facilitating the exchange of experiences and best practices in promoting high standards of judicial training.
The meeting was also attended by Cezara-Elena Polisca, Head of the Training of Trainers and didactic - methodological Section, and Olga Marandici, Head of the International Relations Section.
