On Saturday, January 28, 2023, on the eve of the Day of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the trainees of both promotions who are studying at the National Institute of Justice participated in discussions on the role of the prosecutor in the administration of justice. The public lesson, entitled "The role of the prosecutor in the administration of justice. Challenges and opportunities", was held by the Deputy of the General Prosecutor, Igor Demciucin, trainer and graduate of NIJ.
In the opening remarks, the ad interim Director of the NIJ, Ecaterina Popa, came with a congratulatory message addressed to those who work in the prosecutor's offices and who honestly and assumed exercise the duties conferred by the law. She urged future prosecutors to apply the knowledge acquired at the Institute with courage and perseverance, always be at the service of the citizen in order to provide confidence in the quality of the justice act.
During the event, were approached topics related to the functioning of the prosecutor's office system, the role of the prosecutor in the administration of justice and the challenges he faces in his activity. In this context, there was talk of the trend of balancing gender equality in management and executive positions in the prosecutor's office, as well as the benefits of hiring recent graduates of the NIJ at the prosecutor's offices in the territory.
