The public lesson was held by Nicolae Radita, Deputy General Director of the Agency for Interethnic Relations (AIR). His presentation focused on the current legal framework and the mechanisms implemented in order to combat discrimination, including against the Roma community, as well as the contribution of the AIR to the implementation of state policies in the field of interethnic relations and international treaties to which the Republic of Moldova is a party. Nicolae Radita approached topics such as the current challenges of Roma inclusion in society, the role of the judicial system in preventing and sanctioning discrimination, case studies in the field, etc.

The trainees had the opportunity to participate actively in the discussions, asking questions and sharing opinions on the issues presented. The dialogue highlighted the importance of raising awareness and developing an analytical and equitable perspective among future judges and prosecutors on racial discrimination.

The initiative was part of the efforts of the National Institute of Justice to ensure a complete training of its trainees, being part of the Program for supporting the Roma population in the Republic of Moldova 2022-2025.
