The role of the trainer and adult training techniques, how a course is designed and delivered, the alternation of learning techniques and methods, the evaluation of training through the Kirkpatrick model and many other topics were covered within the module ”Effective communication with litigants”. The activity is part of the autumn school for the training of trainers in the field of developing the communication skills of the court staff.
Starting on September 26, 2022, the training program took place for three days for the NIJ trainers, judges and court staff from the model courts from districts Bălți, Ungheni and Edineț.
The beneficiaries of the professional development sessions were trained by Ascendis expert, Cătălin Vaduva via practical exercises and workshops. Thus, the participants were involved in simulations regarding the pitfalls and barriers in communication, and based on the knowledge gained, they modeled/ designed a 10-15 minute lesson fragment, receiving feedback from the expert on strengths and development areas.
On October, 5-7, 2022, will take place another module of the autumn school "Public speaking and media communication. Social media marketing and copywriting". The training sessions will be delivered by Ascendis trainer Mihai Dumitrescu.
Both modules "Effective communication with litigants" and "Public speaking and communication with the media. Social media marketing and copywriting" were organized by the National Institute of Justice and USAID Moldova within the "Model Courts" project which aims to achieve the objectives outlined in "Strategy for ensuring the independence and integrity of the justice sector for the 2022-2025".
