On Thursday, May 3 2018, the trainees of the National Institute of Justice, candidates to the position of judge, have visited the laboratories of the Forensic and Judicial Expertise Centre of the General Police Inspectorate within the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The aim of the visit was to familiarize the future judges with the attributions and the role of the Centre in investigating committed crimes, but also with the peculiarities of the forensic laboratories’ activity.
The trainees of the National Institute of Justice, accompanied by Boris Talpa, the head of the Legal Informations Centre, detached judge, met with Nicolae Bodrug, the head of the Forensic and Judicial Expertise Centre, Ala Nitrean, the head of the Quality management section, Ina Irjanova, the head of Documents examination section and with other experts.
In the frame of the discussions, the candidates to the position of judge acquired new knowledge about the activity of the institution, about the measures that are undertaken in order to discover and investigate crimes, about the modern and efficient examination procedures that allow the formulation of reasoned conclusions in the evaluation of the crimes’ circumstances or causes etc.
Previously, the candidates to the position of prosecutor have also visited the Forensic and Judicial Expertise Centre of the General Police Inspectorate in order to get acquainted with its activity.
