The members of the NIJ Council met with the Minister of Justice, Veronica Mihailov-Moraru, on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the headquarters of the National Institute of Justice.
During the meeting, was underlined the importance of collaboration in the context of justice reforms and the conditionalities formulated by the European Commission for our country's accession to the European Union.
In particular, the discussions focused on the challenges related to the implementation of the new amendments to the Law on the National Institute of Justice and on the opportunity to improve this legislative framework.
During the discussions, was emphasized the need for an integrated approach and substantial partnerships between relevant institutions in order to align the judicial system to European standards, including through quality legal trainings for the beneficiaries of the National Institute of Justice.
