Understanding the functioning of the Superior Council of Prosecutors was the purpose of the visit of the National Institute of Justice trainees to the self-administration entity of prosecutors. The information action took place on Thursday, February 16, 2023.
The 25 candidates to the positions of prosecutor and judge, accompanied by Ecaterina Popa, ad interim director, and representatives of the NIJ staff, met with Angela Motuzoc, President of the Superior Council of Prosecutors, to discuss the process of functioning and ensuring the self-administration of the prosecutor’s system.
During the dialog, was held an exchange of views with future prosecutors and judges, being particularly interested in topics regarding the procedures for participation in the contest for the appointment of graduates of the National Institute of Justice, aspects of evaluation of prosecutors, the challenges facing the institution today and possible changes in the legislation framework.
We would like to mention that the information visits of the NIJ’s trainees to other relevant legal institutions are extracurricular activities planned to contribute to the complex professional training of future judges and prosecutors and to give them the opportunity to interact directly with the professionals from the law system.
