The National Institute of Justice’s trainees were familiarized with the activity of the General Prosecutor’s Office, but also with the activity of the Superior Council of Prosecutors in the frame of an information visit to these institutions, organized for the candidates to the position of judge and prosecutor.
The information activity took place on Friday, April 27, 2018. The NIJ’s trainees, accompanied by Alexandra Nica, the head of the Training and research division and Dumitru Obada, the head of the didactical-methodical and training of trainers section, detached prosecutor, met with Angela Motuzoc, the President of the Superior Council of Prosecutors and with Mircea Rosioru, the deputy General Prosecutor.
The program of the visit included discussions regarding the General Prosecutor’s Office, the specialized prosecutor's offices and the territorial prosecutor's offices, their structure and their attributions according to the law. The hosts made a presentation of the self-governing bodies, especially of the Superior Council of Prosecutors and of the subordinated colleges.
The event is part of a larger series of visits organized for the NIJ trainees with the representatives of different institutions of the national law system, serving as activities that are complementary to the initial training of the candidates to the position of judge and prosecutor. In the frame of these visits, the future judges and prosecutors have the opportunity to directly interact with various justice sector professionals in order to discuss about their activity and experience.
