For two days, between December 9-10, nine trainers from the National Institute of Justice have participated in an international online training course in order to become certified tutors of the European Programme for Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) of the Council of Europe. The event brought together legal specialists selected by the NIJ and other national partners in the HELP network, as well as professionals from other Council of Europe member states.

Today, September 30, 2020, the closing event of the HELP course "Alternatives to Detention" took place online. The course, launched by the National Institute of Justice in partnership with the Council of Europe Programme on Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals, has been adapted in accordance with the national legal order for a diverse group of beneficiaries: judges, prosecutors, court staff, consultants of the prosecutor, as well as attorneys involved in state legal aid from the Republic of Moldova.

For two days, on the 8 and 9 of July 2020, the annual conference of the European Programme for Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) "Marking 70 years of the ECHR in critical times” is occurring.

On Thursday, 4 June 2020, the National Institute of Justice, in partnership with the European Programme for Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals of the Council of Europe (the HELP Programme), launched a new e-learning course entitled "Family Law and Human Rights". To this training activity have applied 48 applicants, including judges, prosecutors, representatives of the People's Advocate Office and the Government Agent Department of the Ministry of Justice.

On Friday, April 3, 2020, the National Institute of Justice in partnership with the European Programme for Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) launched the virtual pilot training course "Alternatives measures to detention". Developed by the HELP team and adapted in accordance with the national legal framework, it is intended for judges, prosecutors, court staff, prosecutor's consultants, as well as lawyers who provide state-guaranteed legal aid.
