On June 14 and 15, the European Judicial Training Network’s (EJTN) XXI General Assembly was held in Varna, Bulgaria.
In the opening of the event, the participants were welcomed by Miglena Tacheva, President of the General Assembly, Director of the National Institute of Justice of Bulgaria, Wojciech Postulski, Secretary General of the EJTN, judge, EU officials and representatives of the Bulgarian public authorities.
The General Assembly was attended by representatives of all the judicial training institutions from the European Union’s member states, of the European Commission and of international organizations. The delegation of the National Institute of Justice was constituted by Diana Scobioala, Director, and Valentina Contescu, the Director’s advisor.
In the frame of the event, the participants have discussed the following subjects of common interest: the annual report of the Secretary General, the annual report of the Steering Committee, the Global Judicial Integrity Network and its judicial ethics training program, artificial intelligence (AI) and the jurisprudence. Also, the representatives of the judicial training institutions with Observers status within the EJTN highlighted the necessity of their participation to the EJTN training activities and the need of an efficient cooperation framework.
