The in-service training course "Application of the International Framework of Judicial Excellence (CIEJ)" took place on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, for Edinet Court judges and staff.
The CIEJ aims at developing a framework of values, concepts and tools through which the courts can evaluate and increase the quality of justice and the administration itself in seven actviti directions: the satisfaction of litigants; public trust; accessible judicial services; judicial management and leadership; judicial policies; human, material and financial resources management; legal procedures.
Therefore, the learning objectives of the training course had referred to the identification of specific elements of the quality policies of the courts, the recognition of the key elements of the CIEJ, the development of competencies on its correct implementation by applying quality assessment tools, and the use of the CIEJ working methodology for the elaboration, execution, monitoring and evaluation of plans on improving the courts activity.
In the upcoming period, the employees of the Chisinau, Orhei, Cahul and Anenii Noi courts will also benefit from the training course facilitated by Pim Albers, an international expert in the administration of courts and the rule of law (the Netherlands / Cyprus).
The training activities are part of the “Judicial Management and Leadership” module of the NIJ Modular Continuous Education Plan, organized in cooperation with the USAID project “Model Courts”.
