The Director of the National Institute of Justice, Diana Scobioala, had a meeting with the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Moldova to the Council of Europe, Corina Calugaru, on Friday, October 19, 2018 in Strasbourg.
The discussions focused on strengthening and deepening the cooperation with the Council of Europe on the segment of initial and continuous training of the trainees of the National Institute of Justice. On this occasion, the NIJ Director reviewed the changes made in the training activities aimed at ensuring the modernization and increase of the efficiency of the professional training of the justice sector professionals. Also, Diana Scobioala, highlighted the importance of internships and study visits to European courts for a complex professional training of NIJ trainees, including the European Court of Human Rights.
Also, during the meeting both sides appreciated the course of the activities realized in partnership and discussed the possibility of developing and implementing projects of common interest.
From the part of the National Institute of Justice, the meeting was also attended by Ecaterina Popa, the head of the Continuous training section, Dumitru Obada, the head of the Didactical-methodical and training of trainers section, Olga Dorul, university lecturer, Dorel Musteata, member of the Superior Council of Magistracy, Violeta Cojocaru, Interim Dean of the Faculty of Law of the Moldova State University and Oleg Rotari, the Governmental Agent of the Republic of Moldova, all of them also being NIJ trainers.
