On November 20, 2024, the deadline for applications for the competition to supply the vacancy position of Director of the National Institute of Justice, announced by the NIJ Council in October this year, expired. The following candidates' applications were received at this stage:
- Iuri Lealin, Master in Law, prosecutor in the Non-Criminal Proceedings and ECHR Implementation Section of the General Prosecutor's Office;
- Ion Cojocari, PhD in Law, Lawyer;
- Nicolae Vutcariov, Master of Law.
In the next period, the Council of the National Institute of Justice will meet to examine the submitted applications and, depending on their admissibility, will set the date, time and place of the interview.
The competition for the position of Director is organized in accordance with the Law no. 152-XVI of 08.06.2006 on the National Institute of Justice and the Regulation on the organization and conducting of the competition for the position of Director of the National Institute of Justice.
