The potential competitors of this year's edition were greeted by the representatives of the organizing institutions - Ecaterina Popa, Interim Director of the National Institute of Justice, and Olimpiada Arbuz-Spatari, Director of the School of Fine Arts “Alexei Sciusev”. During the event, students learned from the NIJ trainer Arina Turcan about gender equality and social equality, about the importance of non-violent communication and prevention of all forms of abuse, about the Istanbul Convention and what this document represents for the Republic of Moldova.
Young people also watched a video highlighting myths and facts about the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence.
The action is part of the series of activities carried out based on the Collaboration Agreement signed between the National Institute of Justice and the “Alexei Șciusev” School of Fine Arts. Thus, within the established partnership, several drawing exhibitions and two editions of the Republican Fine Arts Competition were organized: "Justice - I see you like this" (2017) and "Children's Rights" (2021).
