The National Institute of Justice is among the beneficiaries of a new project of the Association of American Bars "Initiative for the Rule of Law" (ABA ROLI) - Supporting Criminal Justice Reform and Strengthening Anticorruption Efforts in Republic of Moldova , presented online today, April 8, 2021.
On behalf of the National Institute of Justice, the launch event was attended by Diana Scobioala, Director, who reiterated the NIJ's willingness to organize in partnership joint specialized training for judges, prosecutors and lawyers providing state-guaranteed legal assistance and to involve the NIJ resource group of young magistrates in the Program for young people in the legal professions.
The project will run for two years, in which it will continue to support the development of the legal system by strengthening the capacities of key actors in the fight against corruption, implementing reforms in the prosecutor's office system and the self-administration bodies, promoting dialogue and interprofessional synergy, as well as by offering the support of associations of young professionals in the field of law.
