The trainees of the two promotions who are involved in the initial training course at the National Institute of Justice celebrated today, October 18, 2019, the Jurist's Day, by participating in the public lesson "Continuity and professional connection between different generations of jurists".
The event was moderated by the Director of the National Institute of Justice, Diana Scobioala, who noted the following: “In every state there are several pillars on which its system it is based. We, as jurists, know best that, if one pillar is broked, the others do not bear the weight, but if you move them all, then we are no longer in the legality and democracy of a state."
Among the special guests of the lesson were Victor Puscas, former judge at the Constitutional Court, PhD in Law, Head of the Department of Public Law of the University of European Studies of Moldova, and Vitalie Nagacevschi, lawyer. Through the vast experience and knowledge acquired over time, guests have addressed topics related to multiple reforms in the justice sector and the interaction between the three professions: prosecutor, judge and lawyer.
During the meeting, have also spoken representatives of the young generation of jurists, graduates and trainers of the National Institute of Justice: Octavian Iachimovschi, prosecutor, Deputy-interim of the Chief Prosecutor of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, Dumitru Obada, detached prosecutor, Advisor to the NIJ Director, and Ion Chirtoaca, seconded judge.
