President of the Governing Council of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) on a courtesy visit to the National Institute of Justice

Spyridon Flogaitis, the President of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), is on a visit to Chisinau these days with the purpose of having discussions with representatives of public authorities.

On Monday, December 2, 2024, accompanied by the members of the Board of Directors: Gheorghe Avornic, Rector of the "Constantin Stere" University of European Political and Economic Studies and Maxim Lebedinschi, President of the Union of lawyers of the Republic of Moldova, met with Adrian Cerbu, Ad interim Director of the National Institute of Justice, Ecaterina Popa, Head of the training and research Department, and Tatiana Bruma, Head of the e-Learning Section.

The meeting focused on possible directions of cooperation in the training segment that would strengthen the professional capacities of the Institute's beneficiaries, primarily in the field of the acquis communautaire by fulfilling the conditions for accession of our country to the European Union.  

The parties reiterated the importance of expertise transfer and best practices in promoting high standards of judicial training and agreed to return to discussions detailing implementation aspects of joint actions
