The development of the theoretical and practical knowledge of professionals in the legal sector, as well as the promotion of legal culture at the national level is the goal of the Collaboration Agreement signed on October 7, 2024 between the National Institute of Justice, the State University of Moldova and the General Prosecutor's Office.
The agreement was signed by the leaders of the three institutions - Adrian Cerbu, Ad Interim Director of the National Institute of Justice, Igor Sharov, Rector of the State University of Moldova, and Ion Munteanu, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Moldova.
The signatory parties have expressed their commitment to implement the objectives of the Cooperation Agreement in order to strengthen the rule of law and improve the quality of justice in the benefit of society.
The trilateral partnership foresees the creation of a Centre for Legal Research and Practice, the intensification of advanced legal research in various areas of law, focusing on alignment with European standards and reform of the legal system, the organization of scientific events and training sessions, especially on criminal matters, such as conferences, seminars and workshops. Special emphasis will also be put on developing the professional skills of students, trainees and practitioners through mock trial scenarios reflecting real cases in properly equipped forensic investigation laboratories with the support of partners.
