On Friday, July 12, 2024, the documentary „Lead for justice” was screened at the National Institute of Justice, a film about five young people working in the field of law: a judge, a prosecutor, two lawyers and a teacher of legal disciplines. The event was attended by the trainees and the staff of the NIJ.
„Lead for justice” presents a unique perspective on the professional and personal path of legal professionals at the beginning of their career. The documentary highlighted both the challenges and the human aspects faced by the justice system.
After the presentation, followed discussions with the protagonists Natalita Gavrilenco (teacher of legal disciplines), Roman Porubin (prosecutor, graduate of the National Institute of Justice), Constantin Chilean (judge) and Cristina Oglinda (lawyer).
The event is part of the objectives of the National Institute of Justice to provide future judges and prosecutors with a broad and authentic understanding of the chosen profession.
The film „Lead for justice”, directed by Ion Gnatiuc, was released in April this year, in Bucharest, at the One World Romania international festival. The documentary is a product of the Lead Moldova community of young lawyers, with the support of the Canadian Embassy, through the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives and the Rule of Law Programme Southeast Europe of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
